Greek Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashes into Aegean Sea, 2 pilots unhurt

سقطت طائرة مقاتلة يونانية اليوم في البحر بعد ان قفز الطياران بالمظلة بأمان . و قال مسؤولون بوزارة الدفاع اليونانية أن الطيارين غادرا الطائرة وهي من طراز ميراج 2000 وهبطا

بالمظلة في بحر ايجة غربي جزيرة ثيوس القريبة من تركيا .

A double-seater Mirage 2000 of the Hellenic Air Force crashed into the sea area off the island of Samos on Thursday. The two pilots used the ejector seats to escape the falling aircraft. They were later rescued and are been transported on a C-130 to Athens
military hospital. The Mirage was on training flight together with three other air fighters of the Hellenic Air Force.
ATHENS, Greece - Greek military officials say a fighter plane crashed into the eastern Aegean Sea during an exercise but both
pilots safely ejected.
The Air Force said in a statement that the Mirage 2000 jet lost power as it was flying between the islands of Samos and Fourni on
Thursday.
It says the pilots were picked up by a military vessel in the area and were in good health.
The French-made fighter had taken off from an air base in central Greece. The cause of the crash is being investigated
