لقي 4 أشخاص بتحطم طائرة نقل طبية في مدينة ألكو الواقعة في ولاية نيفادا غرب الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وقالت صحيفة "إلكو ديلي فري" المحلية إن الطائرة الطبية أقلعت من مطار ألكو الدولي، وعلى متنها مريض بالقلب، باتجاه مستشفى جامعة يوتا، حين تعطلت وتهاوت نحو اليابسة قرب منطقة سكنية لتتسبب بأضرار جسيمة للسيارات الواقفة في المكان، الأمر الذي استدعى إجلاء سكان المنازل القريبة، تحسبا لأي طارئ. وتسبب الحادث في مقتل كل الركاب، وهم قائدا الطائرة وممرضة والمريض. وقال رئيس مجلس المدينة جون باتريك رايس: "كان هناك 4 أشخاص على متن الطائرة"، مضيفا: "يبدو أن الجميع لقوا حتفهم". وتداول نشطاء على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي صورا للطائرة وهي تشتعل، فيما هرعت الشرطة وسيارات الإطفاء إلى عين المكان. ووقع الحادث على بعد نحو نصف ميل من المطار المحلي، فيما لم يعرف بعد سبب سقوط الطائرة.

(CNN)Four people were killed when an air ambulance crashed Friday evening in Elko, Nevada, the company that owns the plane said.
Witnesses told CNN affiliate KRNV in Reno they could see buildings shake following the explosion.
The air ambulance company American Medflight released a statement late Friday saying three crew members and a patient had died.
"We are devastated by this event and wish we had answers to the many questions being asked at this time," the statement said. "We are cooperating fully with the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration as they investigate the accident."
It is at least the third air ambulance crash in recent months. In July, a Piper Cheyenne carrying three crew members and one patient crashed in Northern California, killing all on board. The plane, which was part of Cal-Ore Life Flight's fleet, was headed to Oakland International Airport to the south.
