PNR History
HE PNR HISTORY
All PNRs stored in the distribution system have associated historical data. The
history elements are attached to the PNR at end transaction. Every PNR has
historical information relating to:
• Original Segment
• Received From
• Booking Office Identification
• Agent Sign
• Agent Duty Code
• Time and Date of Original PNR Creation
Any modifications you make after initial PNR creation are also recorded in history.
Each time a modification is made, the modified data is stored in PNR history. For
each modification, history records the office identification, agent sign, duty code,
and the date and time of the modification. If the modification is made using
remote office logging, the IATA and office-ID for both the originating and the
emulated branch are included.
A numbering sequence for each modification step provides an easy method of
determining when changes occurred to a PNR. Elements entered during PNR
creation are numbered 000. Activities from the first retrieval of the PNR are
numbered 001, the second retrieval 002 and so on. Each modification of the PNR
after its creation is called a ‘step’.
A 2-letter history code precedes every element for in the history for additions,
modifications, cancellations, and deletions.
The system displays the history from the creation to the most recent modification
date, unless the PNR has been split, and then the split information is first.
Flown air segments and past date auxiliary segments are shown at the bottom of
the display and are numbered as they appear in the PNR.
Note: ARNK segments are not transferred to PNR history.

Explanation of the display header:
The first line of the display is the header line from the PNR. The second line of
the display shows the creating office ID, the agent sign, and the creation date.

The first four lines of the history display reflect the information from the original
booking. Lines 5 and 6 are the history data from the cancellation.
