Aircraft Licence Types
Basic licences are issued by the competent authority. Licence types are, for instance, an EASA Part 66 licence, CASA Licence or an ICAO licence. Licence Engineers tend to specialise either in mechanics or avionics. Avionics Engineers (or EASA Part 66 B2 engineers) are able to issue CRS on avionics systems. While Airframe and Engine engineers (or A&C or B1 Licence Engineers) generally sign for all mechanical parts and the engines (they need to be trained on specific engine types too - Rolls Royce, GE etc).
Aircraft types mean everything from helicopter jobs and rotary engineer jobs (Bell engineers, Lynx engineers, Gazelle, Hughes etc etc) to fixed wing engineer jobs. Variety is huge but the following are probably the most common aircraft types offering jobs: B777 jobs, B737 jobs, B747 jobs, A330 jobs, A340 jobs, A320 jobs. As these are the most popular commercial passenger aircraft they require thousands of engineers around the world to service and maintain them.
FAA A&P jobs are handled by aircraft mechanics. The A&P license is more geared to GA (General Aviation) jobs than the EASA licence. Most United States airlines and general aviation firms require an A&P certificate from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA)

EASA European Aviation Safety Agency
The B1 licence is a mechanical based licence and permits the holder to issue certificates of release to service following line maintenance, including aircraft structure, power plants and mechanical and electrical systems.
A&C :qust: ما معني
Part 66:qust:
The B2 licence is avionic based and permits the holder to issue certificates of release to service, following line maintenance on avionic systems. A Category B2 licence holder also has a role in base maintenance in supporting the Category C certifier who is the final CRS/SMI signatory.
