Thank you for considering Phoenix East Aviation for your flight training. The answer to all of your questions is YES. We have many students from the Middle East and will be glad to have more. Our general manager is Arab and an ex 747 pilot. That is not a problem here.
We also have students from most of the European countries and they train here and then go home and convert their licenses to whatever country they are from. Europeans find they save around $15,000, 6 or more months of training time and, when they finish. they have both licenses and can almost anywhere instead of just one place.
Matt, could you please send me the name and address of you and your friend so I can put them in my records. I would appreciate that very much and will help you in any way I can.
Selecting the right school is a very important decision and, with over a thousand schools in the U.S. we know it is difficult to choose. Take your time and be careful of "bargains" or so called "guaranteed training" programs. Phoenix East is one of only 7 accredited flight schools in the U.S., and one of the few that will be glad to furnish you with a complete tour, and then allow you to walk around on your own to speak with students and instructors.
Among other points that are important to you, consider these when making your decision:
1. The year round flying conditions of the location
2. Years of experience as an FAA approved school
3. Insurance limits and coverage provided by the school during training
4. Type, selection and number of aircraft available
5. Maintenance of aircraft
6. Recommendation of former and current students
7. Local FAA office opinion and recommendation of school
8. Cost of living in the area
9. Does the school really hire graduates as instructors?
10. Is the school getting jobs for graduates or just interviews?
We are dedicated to assisting you in all aspects of your stay here. Lodging is available for every budget. Housing normally costs between $350 and $450 per month per student for a very nice, shared, two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Other housing options are available, such as living with host families near the school or even renting complete houses.
Please call or email me to discuss your specific needs after you look over this package and, if you are interested in the Professional Programs, please read the document called "everything" very carefully as it explains these programs very thoroughly. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
