Indications: A/C yaws right+ engine rotor noise change+ horn as NR drops below 360
IGE: 1- maintain collective position -2- pedals to maintain heading
3- cyclic to maintain position on ground -4- 1 to 2 FT cushion touchdown by collective
5- lower collective as soon as A/C on ground
OGE: 1- maintain NR in green -2- gain speed by cyclic according to height available
3- make authoritative landing – after landing : complete shut down….
-Engine governing failure?
Indications: Red Gov + gong + fuel flow frozen at last valve
1- maintain collective position -2- unlock red slider -3- control fuel flow by twist grip
4- fly approach 40 kts -5- maintain NR in green -6- reduce speed slowly
7- on final approach apply collective & let NR drop for touchdown
-T/R drive failure in forward flight
Indications: Rapid uncontrollable yaw to left + noise or vibration from tail
IGE: set twist grip to idle detent cushion touchdown by collective
OGE: Reduce collective not fully down to reduce yaw & at the same time increase speed, then proceed as tail rotor failure in forward flight
-T/R drives failure in hover or at low speed?
1- reduce power as much as possible and keep the speed
2- select suitable landing area for steep approach
3- on final approach, shut down engine and make an autorotative landing
-collective lever grip control
Indications: TWT GRIPE + amber GOV
1- Throttle check in flight VOL position
-Tail rotor control failure
Indications: loss of yaw control + pedals free or jammed
1- airspeed to 70 kts -2- HYD test push-button .. ON
3- after 5 sec reset test button to normal position
4- make shallow approach to clear landing area with nose pointing to right
5- perform for running landing
-Low engine oil Pressure?
Indications: eng P + gong + on V.E.M.D
1- reduce power -2- engine oil pressure gauge… check
IF pressure low or at zero: 3- shut down engine and make autorotation
IF pressure within limit : 4- land as soon as possible
-Low MGB oil Pressure?
Indications: MGB.P light +gong
1- reduce power & land as soon as possible
2- after landing shut down engine without delay
- Low engine oil pressure gauge Pointer in red arc?
Indications: pressure gauge on V.E.M.D
1- warning caution advisory panel .. Test
If light illuminates 1- land as soon as possible
If light doesn't illuminates 2- shut down engine and make autorotation
- High engine oil temp?
Indications: engine oil temp reaching 115 on V.E.M.D
At low airspeed: 1- land if possible -2- shut down engine without delay
3- check cooler fan working.
If landing impossible: 1- increase speed to 80 kts & reduce power
IF temp reduce : land as son as practicable/ If not: land as soon as possible
- High MGB oil temp?
Indications: MGB TEMP light
* warning advisory panel to check the MGB light
If light goes: land & check the MGB oil level, if oil level normal fly to nearest base
If light stays: Land as soon as possible
-Fuel filter?
Indications: Fuel felt light
1- reduce power -2- if light goes: land as soon as practicable
If remains: Land as soon as possible
- Low Fuel?
Indications: Fuel light + 47.4 on V.E.M.D
1- avoid large attitude change
2- start the clock -3- land as soon as practicable
- Low fuel pressure?
Indications: Fuel P light
1- reduce power -2- booster pump on -3- land as soon as possible
-HYD system failure in flight?
Indications: HYDR light + gong
1- adjust speed 60 kts -2- main hyd servo switch on collective off
3- autopilot off -4- trim release off
5- make shallow approach over suitable landing area
6- land with slight forward speed
7- when A/c has stopped lower collective at low pitch
8- Retard twist grip to IDEL
9- Lower the collective fully down& latch it then shutdown
- Gen failure?
Indications: GENE + voltage on V.E.M.D
1- DC voltage check -2- Gen push button check on
3- Attempt to restart Gen
If light clear: 4-continue flight
If not: 5- Gen push button off
6- load shed -7- land as soon as practicable
Day 24 mins night 16 mins
- tail solenoid slid valve seizure?
Indications: Stiff or jammed pedals
In hover: if A/C not yawing land normally
If yawing, main hyd servo switch off
In flight: 1- reduce speed interning into slid slip -2- main hyd .. off
- Main servo control?
Indications: Hard over cyclic
1- Hyd main servo switch off -2- airspeed 60kts -3- continue as hyd failure
- HYD failure in hover?
Indications: HYRD+ going
1- land normally -2- hut down engine holding collective on low pitch
- Battery failure?
Indications: BATT light + on V.E.M.D
1- batt switch check on -2- monitor voltage -3- Land as soon as practicable
- Battery over heating
Indications: BATT TEMP + going
1- BATT+D.BATT off -2- Land as soon as possible
