Narrative:
Two UK-registered aircraft were part of a group of five aircraft with five pilots and one passenger, six in all. One of them crashed in a wooded area and "difficult to access" in the French Alps, near the Italian border, at 2775m altitude, at Pré-la-Font, south of "la Tête de Viraysse".
Two persons died in the G-SJES plane.

The second accidented aircraft of the group was victim of an indeterminate incident (for the moment) , forcing the pilot to an emergency landing at the locality of Pré La Font, in the municipality of Val d'Oronaye. The pilot, "a miraculate" according to the rescue, escaped completely unscathed, despite this dangerous landing in a hilly field.

The sub-prefect of Barcelonnette Carine Roussel emphasizes that "nothing indicates at the moment that there is a link between the two accidents". The hypothesis of a collision, a time evoked, is no longer preferred.
