Incident: Jet Airways B773 near Cologne on Feb 16th 2017, loss of communication leads to intercept


A Jet Airways Boeing 777-300, registration VT-JEX performing flight 9W-118 from Mumbai (India) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL360 about 20nm north of Cologne (Germany) when the aircraft was intercepted by two fighter aircraft due to loss of communication, the crew did not respond to any calls on assigned ATC frequencies and the emergency frequency. Following the intercept contact was established via the emergency frequency, the crew subsequently reported on the correct ATC frequency and continued to London for a safe landing.
