Other Effects of UV Radiation
Many
polymers used in consumer products are degraded by UV light, and need addition of
UV stabilizers to inhibit attack. Products include thermoplastics, such as
polypropylene and
polyethylene as well as speciality fibres like
aramids. UV absorption leads to chain degradation and loss of strength. In addition,
many pigments and dyes absorb UV and change colour, so paintings and textiles may need extra protection both from sunlight and fluorescent lamps.

مره اخرى اخي الكريم Aero ,
في الرد الثاني الي استشهد فيه لم يرد ذكر الألوان الا في الجمله الي ضللتها بالون الأحمر ,
وترجمتها كالتالي ,
الكثير من الأصباغ والألوان تمتص ال UV مما يؤدي الى تغير في ألوانها , فالأصباغ والأنسجه المحاكه تحتاج حمايه اكثر من اشعة الشمس و الإضائه الفلوريه (النيون) .
مره اخرى الكلام هنا عن الأصباغ عموماً ومدى تحملها , والمقصد ان التغيير الملحوظ يكون في درجات اللون اي ان اللون يبهت بعد تعرضه للشمس , وهذا شي معروف . مو محتاج wikipedia .
