The Navigational Computer CD ROM training course conceived and produced by Oxford Aviation Training aims to teach you every functionality of the flight navigation computer.
The flight navigation computer is also know as the wizz wheel or Dead Reckoning Computer. In Dead reckoning a navigator uses a chart and a known position in order to predict a future position. This method relies on very accurate measurement of aircraft heading, distance covered, ground speed and time taken. In the early decades of manned flight, before the invention of radio, interial and satellite navigational aids, dead reckoning was the only way of navigating accurately. Covers the majority of flight computers sold.
