    what would you do in these situations

    so you are flying a small training aeroplane and

    1) the throttle got stuck in the full power position, how can u land ?


    2) u had a complete engine failer and there is absolutely no suitable field to land at (its all trees below you), what is the safest thing u can do to land with the least amount of damage?

      about #1 i think you can approuch the runway in high speed and normal altitude but with no flaps
      and whene you reach 100ft you can easly cut the fule from the engines
      and land the aircraft normaly

      how about that?

          بلنسبة للسؤال الاول انا راي مع الاخ بس كمان انو الواحد يستخدم الفلابس في الهبوط وقت يوصل على ارتفاع قريب من المدرج بامكانك يقطع الوقود وهبط فيها وليش يستخدم الفلابس لانو اظن هلشي رح يخفف من بور المحرك وبلتالي بصير الهبوط احسن بلتدريج
          اما بلنسبة للسؤال التاني فاظن انو كان في موضوع بلمنتدى بيحكي عن هلشي ويلي بزكره منه انه اول شي بنزل مقدمة الطائرة قليلا لحتى مايصير عنده حالة ال stalling وبشوف جهاز ال GPS ليشوف المنطقه ويختار منطقه تكون يعني مناسبه نوعا ما للهبوط او اذا كان قريب من البحر بيقدر يهبط على سطح البحر لانو الطائرة يمكن تطفو على السطح لمدة معينة لحتى يتم اخلاء الطائره يعني من الركاب اذا ماكان في منطقه بيقدر يوصل فيها الى مطار قريب منه وطبعا لازم يحكي مع المراقب الجوي على موجة الطوارئ هادا يلي بعرفه
          ومشكور كابتن احمد على الدرس وبانتظار الجوبه منك

              mmmmmmmmm

              if u will descend from what ever altitude you are at to 100 feet with full power your air speed will be high which will cause u 3 problems

              * u will exceed the airspeed limit of the airplane (Vne)
              * u will come with a high ground speed and the RWY will not be enough for you to flare, land and stop the airplane
              * u will a have a hard time trying to make the airplane descend with a high airspeed because at high IAS the plane will realy want to just keep on flying


              but there is one part of your answer which is totally correct, but the timing for that action is not correct

              good attempt ....try to figure when is the best time to shut down the engine

                  assume that u dont have a GPS and there is no place to land ... ur just flying over a forest full of trees i.e. the only place to land is above the trees

                      First situation

                      Go with                       PFL =Practice Forced Landing

                      After declaring the emergency with other agencies like radar and tower,
                      Get to a cretin safe altitude, suitable for you airplane.
                      over the airfield, shut down the engine,
                      and execute PFL



                      Second situation, engine fail
                      the first thing to do is, dropping the airplane banner in a non crowed area, Sure in the jungle,
                      then adopt best gliding speed,
                      and when you're aircraft near to the ground or top of the trees,
                      get stall speed to face the impact at the minimum possible speed.
