Incident: Lufthansa B744 at Tehran on Apr 8th 2017, flock of birds

A Lufthansa Boeing 747-400, registration D-ABVP performing flight LH-600 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Tehran Imam Khomeini (Iran), was on final approach to runway 29R when the aircraft flew through a flock of birds and received a number of bird strikes. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 29R.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Tehran about 53 hours after landing. The aircraft received damage to the leading edge and landing light of the right hand wing, the fuselage as well as an engine cowl.
