"Making approaches successful is about knowing what to expect - (in other words) what you will see - because at the missed approach point, taking time to figure out what you're looking at just doesn't work. On this approach, the missed approach is somewhat convoluted and requires a change in frequencies. Noting on the plate - if you don't follow the missed approach, there's an obstacle in-line with the approach at 640 feet. So doing the missed, you want to be sure you make that right turn and establish your climb. Hanging around at MDA, which as we said was 460 feet, and over flying the airport might put you face to face with this obstacle at 640 feet
