أعلنت شركة الفلبين إير آسيا (Philippines AirAsia) خلال مؤتمر صحفي عُقد في سيبو بتاريخ 23 سبتمبر، أنها تخطط لتوسيع أسطولها التشغيلي بإضافة خمس طائرات جديدة بحلول نهاية عام 2026، أي بزيادة تعادل نحو الثلث.
وتُشغّل الشركة حالياً أسطولاً مكوّناً من 24 طائرة من طراز A320-200، غير أن 14 طائرة فقط منها في الخدمة الفعلية، وفقاً لبيانات ch-aviation. ولم تكشف الشركة عن نوع أو هوية الطائرات المزمع إضافتها، كما لم يتضح ما إذا كانت ستكون طائرات جديدة كلياً أم ستتم إعادة تفعيل طائرات متوقفة.
وكانت الشركة منخفضة التكلفة قد صرّحت في يوليو الماضي بأنها تخطط للحصول على ما بين 10 و20 طائرة إضافية خلال خمس سنوات لدعم النمو. وفي ذلك الوقت، استهدفت الوصول بأسطولها التشغيلي إلى 21 طائرة بنهاية العام، على أن تُضيف من طائرتين إلى أربع طائرات سنوياً ابتداءً من عام 2026.
وكجزء من خططها للتوسع في الشبكة، تقوم الشركة بإعادة تشغيل طائرتين من طراز A320-200 في مدينة سيبو. وابتداءً من 15 نوفمبر، ستعيد إير آسيا افتتاح قاعدتها هناك مع إطلاق خمس وجهات جديدة هي: كاتيكلان، دافاو، إيلويلو، مطار ماكاو الدولي، ومطار كوالالمبور الدولي. وكانت الشركة قد أعلنت في وقت سابق عن خطط لرحلات إلى بانكوك (دون موانغ) وبورتو برينسيسا، لكنها تراجعت عنها لاحقاً.
وأكدت الشركة أن التوسع في سيبو سيمكنها من تقديم رحلات تربط الوجهات مباشرة، متجاوزة الازدحام في مطار مانيلا نينوي أكوينو الدولي.

Philippines AirAsia (Z2, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) disclosed during a September 23 press conference in Cebu that it plans to expand its active fleet by five more aircraft by the end of 2026, growing by a third.
The carrier currently operates a fleet of twenty-four A320-200s, but only fourteen of these are active, ch-aviation data shows. The airline did not divulge the identity or type of aircraft it was planning to add, and it is not clear if they would be entirely new aircraft or reactivations.
The LCC said in July that it would take 10 to 20 incremental aircraft within five years to drive growth. At that time, it targeted an active fleet of 21 aircraft by year-end and expected to add two to four aircraft per year from 2026 onward.

Beginning November 15, the airline will relaunch its base in the city with five new destinations: Caticlan, Davao, Iloilo, Macau International, and Kuala Lumpur International. The LCC said that growth at Cebu would allow it to offer connectivity bypassing the congested Manila Ninoy Aquino International hub.
