تحطمت طائرة خفيفة في حقل ببلدة بيرّيما، في المرتفعات الجنوبية لولاية نيو ساوث ويلز.
وقد تمكنت فرق الإنقاذ من إخراج الطيار، وهو في الخمسينيات من عمره، من بين حطام الطائرة.
نُقل رجلٌ كان محاصراً داخل حطام طائرة صغيرة تحطمت في منطقة المرتفعات الجنوبية لولاية نيو ساوث ويلز إلى المستشفى في حالة حرجة.
استُدعيت فرق الطوارئ إلى طريق ميدواي في بيرّيما حوالي الساعة 7:50 صباح اليوم بعد سقوط طائرة هورنت الترفيهية ذات الإقلاع والهبوط القصيرين في حقل.
كان الطيار، وهو الراكب الوحيد في الطائرة، رجلاً في الخمسينيات من عمره، محاصراً داخل الحطام لبعض الوقت قبل أن يتمكن رجال الإطفاء من إنقاذه.
تلقى الرجل العلاج من إصابات في الوجه والساق من قبل مسعفي إسعاف نيو ساوث ويلز قبل نقله جواً إلى مستشفى ليفربول في حالة حرجة.

Pilot fighting for life after light plane crashes into paddock on NSW Southern Highlands

A pilot is in a critical condition with multiple injuries after a light plane crashed into a paddock on the NSW Southern Highlands.
Emergency services responded to reports of a plane crash at Medway Road in Berrima, located around 130 kilometres from Sydney, shortly after 7.45am today.
A man aged in his 50s, believed to be the single occupant of the Hornet STOL aircraft, was left trapped in the wreckage.
Paramedics treated him at the scene for hip and leg injuries.
The man has since been airlifted to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) confirmed that it is aware of the accident, however the bureau does not investigate crashes involving recreational aircraft.
The crash prompted a major emergency response, with multiple ambulance crews, including two helicopters, arriving at the scene.
Fire and Rescue NSW had five units there, and its HAZMAT crews isolated a minor fuel leak on the site and stood by with hoses in case a fire broke out.
The SES, Rural Fire Service and NSW Police also attended.
Aerial footage of the incident shows the yellow plane with red markings seriously laying damaged in a field while emergency services work at the site.
Fire and Rescue NSW said it appeared to be a single fixed-wing light aircraft of aluminium construction.
