تحقيق مكتب سلامة النقل الأسترالي يكشف: الحادث المميت في منطقة ميد ويست بولاية أستراليا الغربية سببه المرجّح أزمة صحية مفاجئة
أصدر مكتب سلامة النقل الأسترالي (ATSB) تقريره النهائي بشأن حادث تحطم الطائرة المميت الذي وقع بالقرب من بلدة أوجيلفي (Ogilvie) في منطقة ميد ويست (Mid West) بولاية أستراليا الغربية في شهر مارس الماضي.
وخلص التقرير إلى أن الطيار كان يعاني من عدوى حادة في الجهاز الهضمي، ويُرجَّح أنه فقد قدرته الطبية على التحكم بالطائرة أثناء الرحلة.
وذكرت هيئة سلامة النقل الجوية في أستراليا أن الطيار، وهو رجل في الستينيات من عمره، كان يقود طائرة خفيفة من طراز "سيسنا 150M" (Cessna 150M) متجهًا من جيرالدتون (Geraldton) إلى شارك باي (Shark Bay) في منطقة ميد ويست، عندما تحطمت الطائرة بالقرب من طريق أوجيلفي في 25 مارس 2025.
وفي التقرير النهائي الذي صدر يوم الثلاثاء، أوضح المكتب أن الطيار كان يتمتع بخبرة طيران واسعة. أزمة صحية أفقدته السيطرة
أظهرت بيانات جهاز GPS المثبّت على متن الطائرة أنه بعد حوالي 30 دقيقة من بدء الرحلة، انحرفت الطائرة قليلاً إلى اليمين عن المسار المحدد، ثم دخلت في منعطف يسار خفيف تطور إلى غوص حلزوني.
وبعد نحو ثلاث دقائق من الانحراف الأول، اصطدمت الطائرة بالأرض بسرعة عالية.
وقال أنغوس ميتشل (Angus Mitchell)، المفوّض الرئيسي لمكتب سلامة النقل الأسترالي، إنه لم تُكتشف أي مؤشرات على فشل ميكانيكي أو عطَل في الطائرة أثناء الطيران، مشيرًا إلى أن الحالة الصحية للطيار كانت على الأرجح عاملاً رئيسيًا في الحادث.
وأضاف ميتشل:
وأشار المكتب إلى أنه استعان بخبراء طبيين وبـ الطبيب العام الخاص بالطيار أثناء إعداد التقرير النهائي.

The watchdog found the pilot was suffering an acute gastrointestinal infection and likely became medically incapacitated mid-flight.
Australia's air safety watchdog says the pilot of a light plane, who was killed in a crash in Western Australia's Midwest, likely suffered a medical episode mid-flight.
The man, aged in his 60s, was flying from Geraldton to Shark Bay in the state's Midwest when the single-engine Cessna 150M crashed near Ogilvie Road on March 25, 2025.
In the final report released on Tuesday, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) noted the pilot had significant flight experience.
Incapacitating medical event
Data from an onboard GPS showed about 30 minutes into the flight, the aircraft briefly deviated right off track before entering a shallow left turn, leading into a spiral dive.
About three minutes after the initial deviation, the plane collided with terrain at high speed.
ATSB Chief Commissioner Angus Mitchell said there was no indication of any in-flight failure in the examination of the wreckage, and the pilot's health was likely a contributing factor.
"Based on the pilot's significant aviation experience and medical history … it was determined the pilot likely experienced an incapacitating medical event," he said.
The ATSB consulted with medical professionals as well as the pilot's general practitioner.
